Wyn Rossouw

Essentially a representational artist, I prefer to work directly from life, trying to capture a subject, a moment in time, in a painterly, atmospheric way.
To celebrate life by drawing out the essence of a plain and modest subject and transforming it into something charming and joyful to the viewer, is my intention.
I enjoy experimenting and exploring new avenues and work in different media, including oils, watercolours, pastels, and inks. I also enjoy print media. My medium of choice is oils.
I keep up a daily practice of drawing from life or imagination, filling my sketchbooks avidly.
