Claudia Treagus

“Paint what you see, not what you know. What you know is not surprising and is very seldom true.” Ken Howard.
Claudia is a figurative artist, captivated by bodies busy with everyday life. In her sketchbook on the beach, at church, or in a weekly art class, she records faces and bodies, wherever she can. Using charcoal, pen and ink at a weekly life drawing class, or making paintings in oil from her sketches, she loves to translate the scenes that she sees around her into visual stories, capturing a moment in time to give you the viewer, insight into another human being’s world.
