A group of SASA members gathered in the gardens of Stellenberg for a day of painting. The colours of the trees reflected the Autumn in the air and, when the sun broke through, splashes of brightness were revealed in the flowerbeds too.
All around, bright leaves were spilled like confetti by the gentle breeze passing through.
Stellenberg has a variety of separate gardens for different purposes, which all have their own special atmosphere and character. We wandered around the beautiful estate, discovering all it’s hidden treasures, before each deciding on a special spot to settle.
Everyone had a lovely, peaceful day, which is reflected in the paintings
they produced, perhaps preliminary sketches for potential
Thanks to Doreen Dauberman and Helen Van Stolk for organising this wonderful outing for us.
