November Life-drawing at the Athenaeum

Thursday 9 November was the last of our evening life-drawing sessions for the year. Once again, we were a small group and had a very peaceful – apart from the alarming noises coming from the drama class next door! – few hours of concentrated drawing and painting.

Robyn was our model and her serene and graceful poses inspired some beautiful work. One of the positives of a small group is that we could move around as we needed, to find the perfect position for a pleasing composition.

The long pose at the end of the evening meant there was the choice of working on and completing a painting, or doing a few quicker pieces, from different angles. A most satisfying evening for all who joined us.
