Our end of June meeting members were treated to a demonstration by Lambert Kriedemann, an internationally acclaimed Cape Town artist who has the distinction of having commissioned paintings hanging in hotels and corporate offices all round South Africa, as well as private commissions from overseas art investors.
Lambert showed us how he went about starting his work, from charcoal drawing through to the finished article where he puts the final touches until he is satisfied with the end result. No alla prima painter, Lambert can take up to 2 years to complete a commission with an eye to the fine detail of the work.
