Saturday Morning Life Drawing

On a cold and blustery Saturday, June the 2nd, we had the first of this year’s SASA Winter life drawing “dates” at the Newlands Scout Hall.

Dressed as our members were in jackets and beanies, we felt rather sorry for our model – thank goodness for blow-heaters!

Despite the weather, Robyn arrived, as cheerful as ever, sporting a new haircut and her accustomed confidence and gave us a wonderful selection of poses to draw.

The hours flew by, with everyone concentrating hard on their beautiful shapes, lines and shadows, experimenting with different techniques, or perfecting old favourites.

Some beautiful work was produced and the end of the morning saw a lot of satisfied artists heading homeward.

Thanks, as usual to those who stayed to help tidy up – it’s amazing how quickly it goes when there’s a good team!
