Neville was born in England and attended school in Sussex. Although his parents were involved in medicine, his grandfather was a highly successful and well known architect having over 100 entries accepted to the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of Architects. After graduating in Graphic Design Neville’s first job was as an art director at Vogue magazine in London, later becoming creative director at House and Garden magazine. His career then developed into book publishing and he moved to South Africa in 1983 to join Struik Publishing. Freelance work then took over and this allowed him time to more time to follow his life long passion for sailing. He ended his corporate career at Media 24 and now divides his time between painting, travelling and sailing. He lives in Hout Bay is married and has four sons.
